Structural Reforms that Innovate the Future

Our transition to a holding company structure aims to restructure our corporate structure to maintain the efficient operation of our existing businesses while simultaneously pursuing new innovations and business models for future growth. This is not simply an organizational change; it aims to achieve a comprehensive transformation across our domains, portfolio, strategy, business model, and operations as a conglomerate.

The "Innovate the future plan" that the company has set out as its path to transformation is distinct from so-called "ambidextrous management," which pursues both the deepening of existing businesses and the exploration of new businesses in parallel. Simply digging deeper into existing businesses has its limits, and new businesses will not lead to sustainable growth unless they are connected to existing strengths. Our true strength lies not only in our civil engineering and architectural technologies, but also in our "coordination skills," which have enabled us to coordinate and integrate diverse stakeholders and bring them to fruition as a single business.

Leveraging this coordination capability, we are strategically addressing the "expansion of general contractors and construction companies" by combining our existing businesses with valuable, unique elements and refining our strengths to pioneer new business models and fields for growth. In particular, in response to Japan's aging social infrastructure, we are positioning our expansion into the "infrastructure anti-aging" market, which goes beyond traditional maintenance and life extension to focus on future resilience. This is an area that goes beyond simply addressing the deterioration of infrastructure and involves strategic infrastructure redevelopment with a view to the future, taking into account structural changes such as climate change, natural disasters, and demographic trends. We view this as an "investment market that supports the future value of Japanese society" and intend to steadily lay the groundwork to demonstrate our comprehensive response capabilities as a conglomerate.

Going forward, we will continue to challenge ourselves to carve out new paths for the future together with all our stakeholders. We sincerely appreciate your continued support.
